4. Joao Moutinho
Mourinho could raid his home country of Portugal for yet another star by landing Porto's impressive midfielder Joao Moutinho, who has been a long-term transfer target of London rivals Tottenham. Back in April,
reports surfaced that the Portuguese international was set to call time on his stay at the Estádio do Dragão in favour of plying his trade in the Premier League, which should provide the Blues with enough incentive to line up a bid for the £20 million-rated star. Though Frank Lampard has signed a new, one year deal with the club, next season will in all likelihood be his last and by buying in a ready-made replacement now, the Blues would be giving Moutinho time and space to adjust to English football. The move would also make sense from Mourinho's point of view, too, he has been known to surround himself with Portuguese players at new clubs in the past, and during his first stint in West London brought in the likes of Ricardo Carvalho, Tiago and Paulo Ferreira.
