Liverpool Transfer News: Milos Krasic Heads to Anfield

Liverpool are believed to be close to snaring the signature of Serbian wide-man Milos Krasic, with Italian champions Juventus willing to part with the player for as little as £6 million. That's according to the Mirror, who also report that Sam Allardyce had been in Turin this week in an attempt to bring the winger to newly-promoted West Ham on a season-long loan. Juve are thought to prefer the option of a sale in order to fund the move for a superstar target, with Robin Van Persie of Arsenal and Liverpool's own Luis Suarez among those linked with a move to Serie A this summer. Though he started his time with The Old Lady well, earning comparisons with Juventus legend Pavel Nedved for his technique on the ball, last season was a mixed bag for Krasic. He ended the year a champion, yet that league winners medal will have been sullied by the fact that he only played in seven games, scoring a solitary goal against Catania way back in September of last year. He will at least be fit and fresh for the new Premier League season, however, with Serbia failing to qualify for Euro 2012. Should the move go ahead, Krasic could become new coach Brendan Rogers second confirmed signing since taking over earlier this month, with the transfer of Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim expected to go through sooner.
