Liverpool Transfers: 10 Best Ever Bargains

1. Daniel Sturridge

Sturridge joined the Reds in January 2012 for £12M after spending the majority of his time at Chelsea watching from the sidelines. Undoubtedly talented, he was finally given a chance under Brendan Rodgers and very much released what everyone knew he was capable of. Quickly, Sturridge formed a partnership up front with Luis Saurez and the pair became the most prolific strike-partners in the Premier League with the former Manchester City man finishing the 2013/14 campaign with 21 league goals to his name. He became Liverpool's record holder of scoring the most goals in 50 games, topping the chart with 36 ahead of the likes of Suarez, Fernando Torres and Robbie Fowler. Sturridge is a credited member of the Liverpool team - he is rapid and has some of the quickest feet in football. Not only that, but his ability to score goals is as good as anyone in the world. When you compare the signing of Sturridge to the likes of Djibril Cisse for £14M in 2004, he is an absolute bargain for the sheer amount of goals he has scored and there are many more to come from him as he extends his time on Merseyside.
