Liverpool Transfers: 5 January Signings To Get Back In Title Race

1. Andre Ayew

Another striker Brendan Rodgers could go in for in January is Andre Ayew, who is a £10 million target for both Liverpool and Newcastle. The versatile Ghanaian, who can operate as a winger or a second striker, looks certain to be sold by current club Marseille in the New Year following the French club's dismal showing in the Champions League, where they finished bottom of a group containing Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli and failed to qualify for even the Europa League. Ayew is out of contract in less than 18 months and Marseille are keen to sell in January while they can still command a decent fee for the player, who has scored two Ligue 1 goals this season but is currently out until February with a knee injury. Nevertheless, he would serve as good cover for Suarez and Sturridge when fit and is a natural goalscorer, netting 13 times in all competitions last season. Do you think Liverpool need to spend in January to get back in the title race? Who should they sign? Let us know in the comment section, below.
