The most interesting battle of the lot comes in the form of United's star striker Robin van Persie and Belgian international and Liverpool new-boy Simon Mignolet. Van Persie has scored four in his opening three games in all competitions and has looked in inspired form thusfar, whilst Mignolet kept a clean sheet and saved a penalty in his debut and another clean sheet in the 1-0 victory against Aston Villa. Van Persie has more than enough ability to find the net, but with Mignolet's form so far it may be harder than previous efforts. This match-up is truly the difference between who comes out on top; if the Dutch forward can find the net and put on an impressive performance then Liverpool will struggle to get a result, whilst Mignolet could put on a display which stops all in his track. Van Persie can test Mignolet from a distance and he will likely cause the Belgian problems, it all comes down to how he reacts to a striker of Van Persie's calibre. Van Persie scored 26 goals last season, whilst Mignolet kept 11 clean sheets last season - a pretty impressive feat considering his predecessor, Pepe Reina, kept just three more for a side which finished 10 places above Sunderland. Can RVP break Mignolet's impressive start to his Liverpool career, or will the Belgian make this a miserable game for the Dutchman? Only time will tell.
