Man City 6-0 Spurs: Player Ratings

Spurs

Hugo Lloris: Two terrible clearances punished. Did recent concussion knock common sense out of France captain? Beaten on four other occasions too. Darkest day in a Tottenham shirt. 3/10. Kyle Walker: Gets caught upfield and needs to wise up. His attempt to stop Toure from assisting the fourth goal was pathetic. Booked for childishly failing to go back ten yards at a set play. Stupid yellow to pick up and will only avoid being dropped as there is no competition for his place. 2.5/10. Michael Dawson: Sucked out of defence for fourth City goal and turned by Negredo for fifth. Calls for an England recall have totally ran out of steam. Spurs needed leadership here, and he failed to give it by example big time here. 3/10. Younes Kaboul: City strikers got in between him and Dawson often and punished them. Signs of rust following lengthy lay-off were painfully obvious here. Could not contain the movement of Aguero. 3.5/10. Jan Vertonghen: Good going forward, bad and ugly defending out of position. Let Navas run riot. This berth is a problem position for AVB until Danny Rose comes back. Appalling performance is a concern for Belgium after their recent friendly losses. Booked for a lunge on Zabaleta. Thoroughly deserves this low rating. 2/10. Click next for the rest of the Spurs team including subs.
