Man City Transfers: 5 Deals That Definitely Won’t Happen

1. Neymar

Lionel Messi is currently being heralded as the best player in the world, with Cristiano Ronaldo having to reluctantly settle for second best, and if ever there were an argument as to who the third best player in the world is right now, few would disagree that it is Neymar. The Brazilian scored 43 goals in 47 appearances for Santos last year, and has 123 career goals in 202 appearances for the club he has played for since the age of 17. It is frightening that he is only 20 years old - few would bet against him giving Lionel Messi a run for his money for the "world's greatest" title one day. If City can't sign Messi or Ronaldo (and knowing them, they have probably tried once or twice), then they might as well go for the next, erm, well, third best thing. Reports suggest the Champion's are interested, but the Brazil striker "doesn't see himself playing for any other team" apparently, which will surely come as a devastating blow for Roberto Mancini.
