5. Christian Benteke
One name that may already be on Manuel Pellegrini's transfer wishlist for this summer is Christian Benteke. The Aston Villa forward has been in fine form this season and has enjoyed a terrific debut campaign in the Premier League since his summer switch from Genk. The Belgian sensation has just finished the season as the division's fourth highest goalscorer with 19 strikes - way ahead of Sergio Aguero, who managed only 12, and five above 14-goal star Edin Dzeko. And now City are reportedly lining up a
£20 million bid for the promising 22-year old as they look to beef up their attack for next season. Since selling Mario Balotelli in January, the club have room in the squad for an old-fashioned number nine, and Benteke could be the man to fill that role at the Etihad. Paul Lambert would be far from reciprocal to an offer for his star man, but the player has recently
threatened to quit.
