Man City Transfers: Ranking Manuel Pellegrini's Signings From Worst To Best

5. Zacharias Faour - £400,000 Malmo

Zacharias Faour arrived just after Fernandinho at Etihad Stadium this summer and the 15-year-old is considered an enormous prospect. The Swedish international has earned comparisons to legendary compatriot Zlatan Ibrahimovic after excelling for Malmo's youth team, and was also on the radar of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Juventus. City paid a 'development fee' of £400,000 for Faour, though a series of add-ons could see the Sky Blues pay in excess of £1 million for the exciting starlet depending on how successful he turns out to be. The player's agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has described his client as "large, technically gifted, good at receiving the ball and a true goalscorer" while Faour has gone straight into City's Elite Development squad, which is being run by Patrick Vieira. Faour could turn out to be a better - and more sensible - acquisition than Fernandinho simply because his best years lay ahead of him - watch this space.
