2. Lacking Silva
David Silva was an instant hit in the Premier League last season before disappearing towards the latter end of the campaign, and has struggled to make an impact for City this season. His shrewd passing and eye popping dribbling skills have been replaced with fatigue, and City's midfield engine (barring Yaya Toure) has been much subdued. Without Silva's silky runs and clever passes, Manchester City will struggle to dominate and dictate the pace of the game, which will become especially apparent when they face a very strong Arsenal midfield with Carzola leading their creative efforts. Unless Silva decides to show up, Manchester City will have a difficult time penetrating Arsenal's midfield and defense. If the Gunners' last visit to the Etihad is anything to go by, Arsenal definitely stands a chance against the reigning champions, and will relish the chance to express their ambitions this season.
