Man Utd Dream XI For The Premier League Opener

Robin van Persie - Centre Forward

One of the most exciting prospects about Louis van Gaal's reign as Manchester United manager is his relationship with Robin van Persie. The two Dutchmen share a close personal bond, as was evident during this summer's World Cup. Van Persie may have endured a difficult season last time, spending much of it on the sidelines with injury, though I expect he'll come back a new man next term. After signing from Arsenal, RVP set the Premier League alight in his debut season at United, scoring 26 goals in 38 appearances and winning the Golden Boot. He also showed flashes of individual brilliance at the World Cup, scoring THAT diving header against Spain. If he can replicate this form in 2014-15, United will be fearsome going forward - and van Gaal certainly knows how to get the best out of the ex-Gunner.
