Man Utd Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory

1. Paul Pogba

In terms of €˜ones that got away€™, they don€™t come much bigger than Paul Pogba. After leaving Man Utd for free, Pogba has gone on to dominate the Juventus midfield and win countless trophies with the Old Lady alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio. An impressive debut World Cup last summer only saw his stock rise even further. Impressively physical for one so young, 21-year-old Pogba is quick of feet, likes a tackle, has impressive trickery, doesn€™t stop running, can pick a pass, has an explosive shot, and is even handy at set pieces. Right now, the lad literally seems to have no weaknesses, which is scary for someone at such a relatively early stage of their career. His Utd departure stemmed from a mixture of Alex Ferguson not wanting to meet his wage demands (rumoured to be £40,000 a week at the age of 19) and the fact that he felt he should be getting more match time than somebody like Paul Scholes. Much like it made sense for Chelsea to fork out a hefty sum to bring the impressive and influential Nemanja Matic back to Stamford Bridge, it would similarly be in Utd€™s interest to swallow some humble pie and pay whatever it takes to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
