Man Utd Transfers: 5 Players Who Should Go On Loan In 2013/14

3. Michael Keane

Another player already returning from a loan spell is defender Michael Keane, who spent last season with Leicester City, contributing twenty two appearances to their ultimately unsuccessful push for promotion back to the Premier League, which was thwarted by Watford in the play offs. Having recently made his debut for the England under twenty one team after appearing for younger iterations of both the English and Irish national sides, Keane€™s stock has never been better and having only recently turned twenty, he still has a couple of years to improve and show new manager David Moyes that he can eventually be a part of a team at the highest level. Improvement in his game would be best achieved with another loan spell. A second period at Leicester would€™ve been ideal had their promotional push been successful, but given that they will spend next season in the Championship (a league Keane has already proven himself in) once more, a Premier League club must be the next step up for the young defender.
