4. Ezequiel Garay
As well as at left-back, United also need to recruit a new centre back this summer. Rio Ferdinand is 35 in November while Nemanja Vidic has had his last two seasons decimated by injury. One option for David Moyes is to sign Benfica's Ezequiel Garay, the Argentina international of whom United seem to have been linked with for an age. Various reports have surfaced within the last couple of months alleging that the Champions have
already agreed a deal for the 26-year-old, yet so far nothing has come to fruition. Garay was a permanent fixture at Benfica last season, making 42 overall appearances for the Portuguese club and helping them reach the final of the Europa League. Standing at 6ft "4, he's also a physically-imposing centre back of the Vidic ilk and a player who could marshal United's backline just as well as the Serbian did.
