Newcastle: Alan Pardew's 8 Biggest Head Aches Right Now

4. Who Plays Wide?

Though Gabriel Obertan has now joined the long injury list - and for a long time - Newcastle have a surprising wealth of options in wide positions. The emergence of Rolando Aarons and Sammy Ameobi's step up to the first team have been big parts of the successful run, and while the latter's form against West Brom was nothing to write home about he remains in contention. And then of course there's Remy Cabella - blossoming nicely compared to his first six games - and Yoan Gouffran, the scapegoat of Alan Pardew's reliance on unnatural width in the 4-2-3-1 system. With Moussa Sissoko able to play wide right too, that's five players for two positions. The Answer If fit, it should be Rolando Aarons and Remy Cabella, simply because of their ability on the ball and their creativity. Cabella might be pushed off the ball too much, but he creates chances, and can cross a ball, while Rolando's ability to run at defenders should be classed as his biggest virtue. With those two running with the ball, Newcastle can really hurt defences.
