Newcastle Transfers: 10 Dream Goalscoring Options Pardew Musn't Ignore

6. Wilfried Zaha

Newcastle could be the beneficiaries of a Manchester United fire sale this summer. New United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly willing to sanction the departures of up to seven players after running the rule over his current squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, and rumour has it Wilfried Zaha could be one of those on their way out. Zaha moved to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace in 2013 and was the last signing of the Sir Alex Ferguson administration, but hasn't yet made the grade at his new side. He was loaned back to Palace for the second half of the 2012-13 Championship season and spent half of last season on loan at Cardiff, making little impact. Though technically a winger not a striker, Zaha still has the potential to be a quality forward despite his recent problems in front of goal. He has shown glimpses of his predatory instincts in the past, scoring eight league goals for Palace in 2012-13, and Alan Pardew is reportedly keen on bringing him to St James' Park. Pardew was keen on the England international during the January transfer window before he went to Cardiff. Now, with his future at the Theatre of Dreams unclear, the Magpies could test the Red Devils' resolve to hang on to the flier by making an offer.
