Newcastle Transfers: 5 Deadline Day Deals That COULD Happen

2. Papiss Cisse Moves To Trabzonspor

Papiss Cisse's two-and-a-half season-long spell at Newcastle could come to an end today as interest from Turkey mounts. Reports in Turkey claim Trabzonspor are interested in the striker while Besitkas have also been tracking the Senegal international in recent days. Cisse has struggled for fitness and form this season, having played just 18 minutes of league football since New Year's Day and currently out with a back injury. And though Newcastle would be reluctant to sell, they could be tempted to offload such an off-form player should they receive a decently=sized bid from one of the Turkish sides. Once a key player for the Magpies, Cisse's loss of confidence and form has seen him fall down the pecking order at the north east club, rendered third-choice striker as a result. With Luuk de Jong arriving from Germany, Cisse's appearances may dwindle further still and a sale could be on the cards come tonight's deadline.
