2. Youssouf Mulumbu
Both Tottenham and Newcastle were believed to be in talks with West Brom to sign Mulumbu last June, with the midfielder having just three years left to run on his contract. The Congolese midfielder was said to be dissatisfied with life at the Hawthorns and was keen to move on, but the deal collapsed for the player as Newcastle and Spurs gradually withdrew their interest and the midfielder remained with the Baggies. He is currently away on African Cup of Nations duty with Congo so the possibility of him signing for the Magpies during this transfer window is probably an unlikely one, however, Pardew could re-enter the market for him later in the summer in a bid to bolster his sides midfield ranks.
