Newcastle Transfers: 5 Replacements For Cheick Tiote After A Dreadful Season

1. Moussa Sissoko

According to reports, Alan Pardew has been monitoring Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko since last month, and is thought to be keen on the French midfielder. Sissoko is out of contract with Toulouse in June, and with only six months remaining on his current deal, is free to talk to and sign a pre-contract deal with a foreign club during this transfer window. Italian side Juventus are also said to be monitoring the player however, and Pardew could find himself locked in a head-to-head battle for his signature. Pardew might be in the market to sign Sissoko anyway, if not to replace Tiote. Yohan Cabaye is out with a groin injury for an undetermined period of time and the Magpies are dangerously lacking in midfield.
