Newcastle Transfers: 5 Signings Alan Pardew Needs To Make To Avoid Disaster

3. Tom Ince

Another player who could help bolster Newcastle's midfield in the eventuality that Cabaye is eventually allowed to leave is Blackpool's whizz-kid Tom Ince. The Magpies could use a new winger considering Hatem Ben Arfa has only played 21 times since the beginning of the 2012/13 season due to an on-going hamstring complaint. And now, manager Alan Pardew is lining up an £8 million bid for Ince using the proceeds he is set to receive from the sale of Cabaye to Arsenal. The young England hopeful is considered one of the Three Lion's most promising prospects after a tremendous Championship campaign last season saw him score 18 league goals in 44 outings and named 2013 Football League Young Player of the Year. The former Liverpool man has been on Tottenham's radar in the past but they have just recently signed Nacer Chadli instead, leaving the path clear for Newcastle to swoop in.
