Ever since scoring that iconic 25-yard volley against Arsenal, the Ivorian has been highly praised as Newcastle's enforcer. Sadly, too often he is anonymous or spends too much time fouling the opposition.

And rumour has it he's wanted out for quite some time.

He's played many games this season with no passion, with arguably his worst performance coming in the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland at St. James Park, in which he lost out in most 50-50's.

Frankly, no clubs wants their "star" holding midfielder to pick up a booking every two matches as it leads to constant suspensions, and fans have come to see Tiote as something of a liability. Out injured due to the African Cup of Nations, his last game for the club could end up being the 3-3 draw against Burnley, where he was again a passenger in midfield from start to finish.
