Newcastle Transfers: 7 Players Who Definitely Need To Leave This Summer

Fabricio Coloccini might have been instrumental in Newcastle's incredible 2011/2012 season, but unfortunately he's not as consistent as he once was.

Alan Pardew made the Argentinian his captain after Kevin Nolan left for West Ham United, but it's questionable whether he's actually a good leader. Players look to their captain for inspiration, especially when they're struggling, and he has a habit of crumbling - or worse, losing his head entirely.

The match against Everton this year is a great example. He played fine in the first half, only to then pretty much disappear before he maliciously tackled Aaron Lennon, picking up a red card and a harmful three match ban.

He is far from the worst defender Newcastle have ever had, but a string of inconsistent performances - especially as captain - suggest he might be over the hill.
