Newcastle United Transfers: 5 Alternative Players Pardew Must Sign

5. Yaya Sanogo

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a real picture of Yaya Sanogo, rather than a FM12 screenshot of his career and goal scoring tally! Sanogo is rated very highly on FM, and for good reason. This guy has the makings of a world class centre forward. At 19 years of age, and 6'3' one can only imagine how fine tuned his game will be, by the time he's 25. There has been quite a bit of interest in this kid from big teams across the globe, and NUFC should be one of them. He is seen as France's next big thing up front, and with a few Frenchman already on Tyneside, it wouldn't be a bad place to jump-start his career - among French internationals such as Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa and possibly Mathieu Debuchy. Who knows what kind of fee his club Auxerre would look for him, but perhaps Newcastle could do a double deal for him and Boly for say ‚12m? Wishful thinking eh? However, there's no harm in having Sanogo as a potential target. Who knows, he might like the Bigg Market! Conclusion: Those are just 5 players I for one would like to see in a NUFC shirt but of course are unlikely to wear the Black and White stripes anytime soon. Certainly if I was Alan Pardew, I would have these guys as a backup plan should we fail to agree a fee for Debuchy, Douglas, or even Andy Carroll. They might even cost less! With all that said, as a fan, I'm hoping for some progress in the market soon as we need new faces for the upcoming European and domestic campaigns. We're in for a long and consuming season, so we need the legs to get the job done on all levels. We need to bolster our squad without doubt. At your earliest convenience, Mr Pardew!
