Norwich vs Reading - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

Match Preview

Manager Chris Hughton will be hoping his Norwich side can put to an end any lingering relegation fears and push their rivals closer to the trap door in the process. Both however have endured a woeful run of form that has seen neither of them win any of their last six games. Norwich came painstakingly close to putting the brakes on their slide in form against Arsenal in their last outing however, and might have come away with the three points had it not been for a dubious refereeing decision. As for Reading, their relegation back to the Championship could be confirmed by the end of this round of fixtures. Three other results would have to go against them over the weekend for that to happen - If Adkins' side lose at Carrow Road, Sunderland beat Everton and Newcastle avoid defeat against West Brom on Saturday, and then Aston Villa win at Manchester United on Monday, their one-year stay in the Premier League will be over. Lots of ifs, buts and maybes but the maths doesn't lie - even an impressive 0-0 draw with Liverpool last time out is unlikely to save the Royals.

Predicted Scoreline

Norwich 2-0 Reading Both sides are in a dreadful run of form but it is Reading you have to worry about the most. They haven't won a Premier League game since February 2nd and look dead certs for relegation - and while that is unlikely to be confirmed in this run of fixtures, is surely now only a matter of formality.
