NUFC: Jonas Gutierrez's 5 Best Moments

1. Debut At Old Trafford

Coming in at top of the list is Jonas Gutierrez fantastic debut after his capture from Mallorca, as he demonstrated exactly why Newcastle had put in the effort to secure his signature with a brilliant display against the highest opposition. The opponents that day were defending Champions Manchester United, a fixture on the opening day of the 2008-9 season which gave Newcastle the most difficult of starts as they travelled to Old Trafford. However, Newcastle weren't scared by Sir Alex Ferguson's men and, under the helms of Kevin Keegan, they came away with a 1-1 draw. A fantastic result for the club. At the heart of the brilliant performance was new signing Jonas Gutierrez. He impressed hugely on the day and picked up countless praise from the fans and media alike. The new addition to the squad was superb and everyone was understandably optimistic about the new player, hoping that he would be able to propel their season in the right direction and that he would have a successful time at Newcastle. The hopes were correct. His spell at Newcastle was decent and he was a fan favourite throughout. Now, at Norwich, he will be able to do the same again and will hopefully become an important player as the Canaries aim to stay in the division.
