2. Spurs Sign No-One

The sole aim for Tottenham this season should be to fight their way back into Champions League football, but with the first three places seemingly heading to Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea they face stiff competition for the final place, especially without Gareth Bale, and with some of their summer signings failing to gel as successfully as would have been hoped. They are currently battling it out with Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United for fourth place, and one of those sides might not even get Europa League football. So, what do you do to improve your chances? You buy better players, you improve the squad, and you get a plan B in personnel terms. But, apparently if your Spurs, you don't. Not a single player arrived in January to boost their squad, despite the number of additions that really needed to be made. The North London club spent over £100million in the Summer, to limited success, and there remain some serious holes in the squad. Maybe that's what put them off? Still, at least their neighbours also made a huge error during the window...
