Premier League: 10 January Transfers That Make Sense

8. Fulham To Sign Anderson

Manchester United are in serious need of overhauling their midfield this winter with several under-par players set to be flogged. Some of United's midfielders simply are not good enough to play at the very highest levels and that is particularly true of Anderson who, after six full seasons at the club, has not lived up to his potential and never will. The Brazilian has only scored a miserable nine goals in 179 appearances for the Red Devils and his nightmare stay at the Theatre of Dreams is surely coming to an end. Fulham are thought to be interested, with Cottagers boss and former United coach Rene Meulensteen keen on signing the samba star. Should Anderson join Fulham, he may well flourish in an environment where expectations are lower, and United would be rid of one of Sir Alex Ferguson's worst ever signings.
