Emmanuel Adabayor is a player who attracts controversy and inspires strong feelings in his many detractors no great shock for an ex-Gooner now earning his keep at White Hart Lane, but there is more to it than that. Adebayor helped Monaco reach the 2004 Champions League final in his time at the club, and Arsène Wenger signed the Togolese forward in January 2006. His was a relatively slow start, but in 2007-08 Adebayor scored the goal of the season against Tottenham and was named in the PFA Team of the Year, scoring 30 times in all competitions. He moved to newly-flush Manchester City in a big-money transfer in 2009, and not long into his City career he angered fans of his former club by scoring against them at the City of Manchester Stadium and running almost the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the travelling fans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7657Hb27K4c Adebayor spent six months on loan at Real Madrid after falling down the pecking order at City but was left out of the Citizens 2011 pre-season tour and refused to train with the clubs youth team. He then joined Spurs on a season-long loan a move later made permanent but fell foul of Andre Villas-Boas in his short-lived time as manager and was forced to train with the youth team. When Tim Sherwood took over at White Hart Lane, Adebayor was restored to the first team and responded by scoring 14 goals in 25 appearances. Already on target this season and virtually unplayable on his day, if new boss Mauricio Pochettino can settle to the task quickly and get the best out of Adebayor the Togolese man has the potential to be among the leagues top scorers over the course of the next nine months.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
