4th: Arsenal
Oh, come on. It had to be Arsenal. It's tradition, everyone knows that, and if they finish outside the top four, it'll be a bigger surprise. Don't forget they mounted a similar comeback in the second half of last season and still somehow finished third. While this is Arsenal's worst start in a long, long time, it's not quite time to start organising relegation parties for them. Most new signings will take time to adapt, and losing your best player is never easy to immediately overcome. Success in the second half of this season, and for the foreseeable future, will come from a change in transfer policy more than anything else. Stop selling the best players, tie them down on 5 year contracts so that if you do have to sell, you don't get underpriced, and start buying one or two players that will make the difference now, not in five years. Personally, I don't think Wenger should be sacked. However, a Gunners fan recently put forward his view to me: that Wenger should continue, but as the Head of Youth Development, and perhaps in an advisory role for a manager of a similar style. Guardiola anyone?
