Tranmere Rovers
Manager: Ronnie Moore
Key Player: James Wallace
Predicted Finish: 12th What a rollercoaster ride of a campaign last season was for Tranmere. The first half saw them speeding through the league heading towards a surprise championship, the second half though saw them crash and burn in grand fashion, finishing their campaign in 11th place. The psychological damage that last seasons bottling will have had on the team could rear its head again but I suspect the experienced head of Ronnie Moore will have pushed that out over the summer. The signing of experienced striker Ryan Lowe could be the spark they need to make this campaign but in my opinion another mid table finish awaits on the Wirrall.
Walsall
Manager: Dean Smith
Key Player: James Baxendale
Predicted Finish: 17th Walsall had a hugely successful season last year, finishing 9th and claiming some huge victories along the way. Dean Smith had The Saddlers playing some great football last year, however they have lost a lot of their attacking threat this year and it remains unseen as to whether it has been adequately replaced. Will Grigg, Febian Brandy and Jamie Paterson have all left the club and these were perhaps the keys to their success last year. Expect another finish in the lower half of the table this season.
Wolves
Key Player: Danny Batth
Manager: Kenny Jackett
Predicted Finish: 3rd The biggest shock of last season was Wolves 23rd place finish and relegation from The Championship. Marking their second straight relegation and also making them the first team to achieve that twice in history. Its not been a good few years to be a Wolves fan but this season could be the change of all that. Wolves are undeniably the biggest side in the division and with Kenny Jackett at the helm it would appear that they are likely to make a quick return to The Championship. Coming into the division with such a young squad could be their downfall as every term who visits the Molineux will be out for blood. Young striker Leigh Griffiths has proven himself in the Scottish leagues and he will be hoping to finish top scorer this campaign. If Wolves can hit the ground running then they may be unstoppable this campaign. However Wolves fans patience has been severely tested over the last 12 months and a slow start could dampen morale even more. So there it is. My thoughts on each and every teams chances this coming season. Have I been unfair to your team? Have I under or over estimated the abilities of certain sides? Let me know in the comments below
