Just like Dejan Lovren, along with a number of other Southampton players, it was almost inevitable that Morgan Schneiderlin would be linked to White Hart Lane following Mauricio Pochettinos move to Spurs. The midfielder has impressed immensely in the Premier League to the extent that he was called up to Frances full World Cup squad, having previously been on standby, after the withdrawals of injured pair Franck Ribéry and Clément Grenier and has also reportedly attracted the interest of Spurs North London rivals Arsenal. Spurs aren't short in the defensive midfield area, but Mousa Dembele is stronger in an advanced role and is constantly up and down regarding his form for Spurs, Etienne Capoue has yet to prove he was worth the £9 million Spurs paid for him and, if the rumours are to be believed, Paulinho will be leaving the club this summer (which most Spurs fans won't be too disappointed about, after a poor first season with the club and a terrible World Cup with Brazil, where he was lambasted by pundits). Schneiderlin offers Premier League experience and a proven ability to perform well there. He is also still young at 24 and has plenty of time to get even better. He would be a super signing and Spurs fans will know that Pochettino can get the best out of him. An "SAS" defensive midfield partnership of Sandro and Schneiderlin would be great to see against West Ham.
