8. Charlie Adam

Charlie Adam has an apparent vendetta against Spurs that could be explained by the fact that a move to the club fell through when he was still at Blackpool in 2011. In three recent meetings with the Lilywhites, he has been sent off twice and quite severely injured their players on three occasions. In Gareth Bale's time at White Hart Lane, Adam injured him no less than twice (once while at Blackpool and once while at Liverpool) - both quite callously - and then he did the same to Paulinho with a terrible tackle last season. Indeed, such is Adam's reputation at Spurs that the club were struggling to decide whether or not they were going to shake hands with him during the last meeting between them and Stoke City. Rather humorously, after the tackle on Paulinho, the midfielder's fellow Spurs man and Brazilian Sandro took to Twitter to deliver a warning to the Scot.
