1. Angel Di Maria

If Tottenham sell Gareth Bale, they would be left with just Aaron Lennon, Andros Townsend and new signing Nacer Chadli to fill the wide areas, and not only is that a lack of depth on the wings, it's a lack of quality. Chadli is not a long-term replacement for Bale, Townsend is unproven and Lennon is still developing. Spurs need to inject world-class talent into their midfield this summer to revitalise the squad following Bale's departure and one option for manager Andre Villas-Boas in those regards is Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria. The speedy Argentine has shown a few flashes of brilliance in his short career so far, and
has scored a few phenomenal goals in his time. The South American would likely become a casualty of Bale's arrival at the Bernabeu and could fall down in the pecking order behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil. And the opportunity to play regular, first team football at White Hart Lane could be appealing.
