Spurs vs Swansea: 5 Ways Swans Can Upset Spurs

1. Life After Bale?

At time of writing, Gareth Bale is still a Tottenham player but will be be come Sunday? The Welsh wizard has yet to start for Spurs this season and his move to Real Madrid looks all but complete. Chairman Daniel Levy is seemingly spending the potentially record breaking transfer fee already on players such as Paulinho, Soldado and moves for Willian and Erik Lamela being in the pipeline too. Tottenham were continually goaded for their reliance on Bale last season with the Welshman often snatching important goals and running the show at the Lane but can this string of big signings outweigh the reliance on Bale? With Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli and Capoue already at White Hart Lane there is certainly a greater strength in depth plus if the proposed transfers of Willian and Lamela are wrapped up then the Lilywhite's will have one of the best offensive line-up's in the league. The one caveat to all these new signings is that they'll all need to work together and "click" to become a success - something that is far from guaranteed.
