A player that could be on the cards for the Black Cats is the Tottenham midfielder, Tom Huddlestone. However no agreement over the transfer of the former derby man has yet been reached. Another priority on Di Canio's mind is the gaps at left and right back in the Sunderland side. The Wearside club have played every preseason game without specialist full-backs with Jack Colback and Craig Gardner taking up the reins. It has been made no secret of this summer that the former Swindon boss wishes to deal with the left and right-back problems but his efforts have been so far fruitless.
