UFC Fight Night 44: Matches To Make For The Winners

Cub Swanson

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s81rOectVFA "I don't beg" - three simple words told you the entire story Saturday night. Cub Swanson will do his talking in the octagon. I'm really starting to like this guy. Pulling off and connecting with a cartwheel kick late in a 5-round fight that you already have in the bag - that's a fighter the fans need to get behind. The UFC needs to give him another shot at Aldo. That, of course, depends on what happens in Aldo vs. Mendes 2. Swanson has lost to both men, but that was back in his WEC days. His only UFC loss is to Ricardo Lamas; since then he has won six straight fights. If Mendes wins next month, there may be an Aldo/Mendes 3, at which point you maybe book Swanson vs Lamas 2. Otherwise, give the man his shot now.
