WWE tried something new after WrestleMania 41: a live, no-holds-barred comedy roast.

On paper, it sounded like a fun, edgy way to cap off the weekend. In reality? It was a PR disaster WWE is now scrambling to erase from existence.

Held the evening after Night Two at the BleauLive Theater in Las Vegas, The Roast of WrestleMania was hosted by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe and featured appearances from Paul Heyman, Nia Jax, Sami Zayn, R-Truth, The Miz, Braun Strowman, and Pat McAfee.

What followed was two hours of tasteless jokes, uncomfortable silences, and lines that crossed every imaginable boundary. From racial jabs to references to real-life abuse allegations, the roast quickly spiraled into a tone-deaf mess that left fans and talent alike stunned.

WWE has since gone into full damage control—issuing takedown notices, scrubbing clips from YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit, and pretending the event never happened. They wanted edgy. What they got was a PR nightmare. And now, they’d really prefer you forget it ever happened.
