Michu is widely touted to be Premier League's greatest 'one season wonder'. The Spaniard's stellar campaign with Swansea City in 2012/13 is still remembered to this day, and remains the only highlight of his otherwise mediocre career.

Roped in from Rayo Vallecano after an incredible campaign, Michu replicated those heroics in the Premier League too and then some. With an enviable 18 league goals, the Spaniard was bettered only by Robin Van Persie, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale and Christian Benteke.

Michu was also voted as the club's player of the year and many even considered him to be the best signing of the season, but all the fanfare surrounding him and his talent simmered down in the very next campaign when he went off the boil completely.

A dramatic decline in form coupled with injury issues restricted him to just two goals, and was sent out on loan to Napoli later that summer.
