10 Legends You Won't Believe Are Out Of Contract Next Summer

7. Micah Richards

Manchester City defender Micah Richards was once tipped to be England€™s next right-back for the following decade, but he€™s seen his stock plummet with the Citizens and his exit from the Etihad looks inevitable with 12 months left on his deal. The 26-year-old has made more than 240 appearances for Man City, and was a part of their most successful Premier League period of their history. However, he played just over 600 minutes of Premier League football in 2012/13, and 160 minutes last season. Richards will have interest in his services due to his performances for City when he was a regular in the side, but questions will be asked why he€™s featured so little in the last two seasons. This summer saw the writing on the wall for his future, with manager Manuel Pellegrini signing 31-year-old right-back Bacary Sagna. The club currently have three players competing for one place in the side, and as Richards deal is up next summer it€™s clear who will be the one allowed to leave.
