Arsenal Transfers: 10 Players Wenger Should Have Signed
5. Wilfried Bony
Arsene Wenger should've made a move for the Swansea City striker a lot earlier in the summer. However, when Bonys name was linked with a move to Arsenal, the striker was being suggested as last resort/a desperate measure slightly harsh. Despite arriving in Wales having bagged the accolade as the Eredivisies top goalscorer with 31 goals in 30 games, there was still an air of scepticism about Swanseas £12million addition. The Ivorian forward, however, proved himself in the Premier League last season bagging 16 goals from 27 starts and wouldve slotted right into Arsenals style given the way Swansea City play. Despite not scoring for the Swans in the new Premier League season as of yet, it is only a matter of time before the 25-year-old finds the back of the net. Which no doubt, will bring about interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal again, maybe as early as the January transfer window.
