News that Newcastle might be interested in a January move for Andre-Pierre Gignac will no doubt excite Magpies fans, but you shouldn't forget that the Frenchman has apparently already turned down a move to Tyneside, in favour of holding out for a bigger club. Back in summer of 2013, The Mirror reported that the player has told his agent to find a bigger club than Newcastle, after the Magpies were linked with a £12m bid for his services (before the capture of Loic Remy on loan).
