10 Players Who Thought They Were Bigger Than Newcastle United
4. Yohan Cabaye
He might be forever remembered as a hero for the better performances of his Newcastle career and for being a key member of the most successful Newcastle sides in the past few years (a VERY relative thing), but Yohan Cabaye's copy-book carries some black marks. Back in the summer of 2013, the French marvel wanted badly to move to Arsenal, but because the offer didn't match his value he wasn't allowed to. Being motivated by a desire to test himself on the biggest stage, and at the bigger club that he deserved, he went in a huff and on strike refusing to play in two Newcastle games. Cabaye wanted a bigger club, and eventually he got his move, and no amount of saying his time was all great will gloss over the fact.
