10 Youth Prospects Who Could Change Arsenal's Future

5. Serge Gnabry

It's hard not to keep an eye on the young German, who broke into the first team fold last season and has certainly left a lasting impression on Arsenal fans and the management. Gnabry impressed the boss so much after being handed his fourth start of the season in the FA Cup third-round match with Tottenham that Wenger underlined how important it was for the young starlet to continue performing at the top level. Speaking to Arsenal.com immediately after the Spurs game, he said:
"I am a strong believer in Serge, because I integrated him at the start of last season but let€™s not make superstars with one game. The top level is consistency but I believe the ingredients are there. He has to show he can turn up with these performances in every game."
He is a direct running, powerful winger who has already been compared with young Englishman, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, which is far from an unfavourable comparison. There is speculation that Gnabry could be heading out on loan for next season, although many Arsenal fans would want to see one of their most valuable young prospects strutting about the Emirates turf, and the first team exposure could be just what the youngster needs to speed along his development. Gnabry would probably represent the least of the gambles in this list if he was to be introduced this season - along with Joel Campbell - and there is a lot of confidence surrounding him for good reason.
