3. Georginio Wijnaldum
It took the £14.5 million signing just six minutes into his full debut to find the back of the net, and that has already excited Toon fans. True the midfielder did little much of note after that, as the game went away from Newcastle throughout the remainder of the first-half, but his placed finish was still a neat piece of skill. More will come from the Dutch international but, for a first start, you can't ask for much more than a goal from just 45 minutes of football - because the Magpies midfield needs to take on more of the burden of scoring than it currently does. He was sacrificed for Daryl Janmaat at half-time in order to give a bit more solidity and seniority to the Magpies defence, but Wijnaldum already has the Toon fans singing.
