1. His Goals Won A Third Of Newcastle's Points Last Season
Newcastle United claimed 39 points across the entirety of the 2014-15 Premier League campaign - and Papiss Cisse's goals won them 13 of those. That's a third. Cisse netted both goals in the 2-2 draws against Hull City and Swansea City towards the beginning of the campaign, as well as scoring in the 1-1 draw at Burnley in December. His two strikes against Chelsea at St James Park also gave Newcastle victory over Jose Mourinhos men, before Cisse grabbed a goal in the 3-2 home win over Everton. The 32-cap Senegal striker then opened the scoring during the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, before bagging the only goal in Newcastles 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in February. If ever there was a stat that would convince Newcastle of the importance of Cisse to them than it is this one. But the question remains, have the Magpies hierarchy already made up their mind? Is Papiss Cisse's time on Tyneside already up? We'll have to wait until the transfer window closes at the end of August to find out...
