5 Ups & 3 Downs From NFL 2019 Live At Wembley
1. Cooper Kupp’s Performance
One look at the above graphic is all it takes to see that Rams' receiver Cooper Kupp was the star of the game.
He accrued 220 yards across seven receptions, and his 65-yard flea flicker touchdown sprint past the onlooking Bengals in the second quarter helped swing the game further in LA's favour. There was a reason Jared Goff repeatedly targeted Kupp, and it paid off big time. He lit up Wembley any time he got the ball.
The Rams' Twitter account fawned over Kupp's performance too, noting that he became the first LA player since 1997 to earn that many receiving yards. It was a dazzling exhibition of speed, strength and intelligence that would've enchanted everybody (Ram, Bengal or otherwise) lucky enough to see Kupp in action.
Neutrals wearing New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers jerseys whooped and hollered at the sight of a genuine NFL star weaving magic in their home country. That was what the punters wanted when they flocked to Wembley in their droves, and Kupp was only too happy to put on a show.
