Age: 18 Position: Goalkeeper Nationality: English Goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has been loaned out to Crawley Town in order to gain some first-team experience. He will return to the club in January where he could potentially ramp up the pressure on making himself the back-up keeper for Tim Krul. With only Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot ahead of him, the 18-year-old could easily challenge the pair for a seat on the bench. Woodman's potential offers some brighter days down the line for Newcastle United and - like Armstrong - the keeper will benefit from regular first-team football. Woodman was quoted saying:
"I'll take this experience back with me and say: 'Let's not come back here, let's play in the Premier League'."
If he does shine at Crawley, then Woodman could be on the St James' Park bench come January... For all the latest NUFC News, Views and Transfers make sure to follow WhatCulture.com/NUFC on Twitter and Facebook.
