It was labelled as the night that Arsenal€™s senior players finally came of age. It had proven to be a stuttering season for the Gunners; indeed they would only secure qualification to the next year€™s Champions League on the final day of the season. Madrid€™s galaxies of stars were once again on display, with players such as Zidane, Beckham and Ronaldo lining up against the North London side. However, Arsenal proved to be more than a match for their opponents. Kolo Toure and Philippe Senderos were magnificent in defence, while a stunning solo goal from Thierry Henry was enough to give Arsenal the victory.
