Arsenal Transfer News: Loic Remy Not Signing For Gunners

Newcastle United's on loan striker Loic Remy turned some heads during Arsenal's victory over West Brom as Sky's camera's picked the France international - currently on loan from Championship Play-Off hopefuls QPR - out from the crowd at the Emirates. Naturally, his appearance in North London immediately fuelled speculation of an impending move by Arsene Wenger, who saw Olivier Giroud fire his side's only goal in the win against Pepe Mel's Baggies, following the revelation that he is set to leave QPR this summer. The Daily Mail reaffirm the fact that Remy does not favour a move back to Tyneside, where Alan Pardew has had to weather a storm of discontent following a dismal run of form in the second half of the season, and his appearance seemingly confirmed for some that the player was already looking to tie up his next move. The pictures on Sky will no doubt have disgruntled Newcastle fans, who made St James Park a maelstrom atmosphere for the final home game of the season, but Arsene Wenger has subsequently denied that 2 + 2 really does make a move for Remy to Arsenal. After the game, Wenger commented that the appearance of Remy in London was not linked to a move for the 27 year old, who will be hoping that his crucial form for Newcastle this year will see him selected for the France World Cup squad. https://twitter.com/BroadcastMoose/status/462993578604916736 Regardless of the lack of confirmation from Wenger, Remy does look set to move to a "bigger" club, which he qualified as a "top-five European club":
'I do not know... Yes, I will be part of the European top five, or I will be part of a very large club. I'm sure of what I can do. I can still be much better.'
That seemingly puts paid to suggestions from Newcastle that they remain confident of a permanent move for Remy as part of what surely must be a summer of significant rebuilding on Tyneside following a season of two halves split by the sale of Yohan Cabaye to Paris St Germain in January.
