Arsenal Transfers: 10 DREAM Signings Arsene Wenger Could Make
7. Marco Reus
With the damaging blow that is Theo Walcotts season-ending injury, Arsenal could use a new attacking midfielder/winger in January. One option is Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund, whom the Gunners have been chasing for much of the winter window. Known for his versatility, speed and technique, Reus has been an inspiration for Dortmund, helping the Germans reach last seasons Champions League final. As such, he is very much on Arsenals radar this month. However, his impressive performances he has scored eight Bundesliga goals this season from 17 league appearances have attracted interest from elsewhere. Arsenals London rivals Tottenham are also keen, which is why Wenger should act now to avoid missing out to Spurs, who are said to be lining up an ambitious bid to hijack the Gunners move. The 24-year-old is set to star for Germany at this summers World Cup and his market value may well inflate should he enjoy a successful tournament. Another reason for Wenger to bring him in this month before his valuation goes through the roof and more clubs become interested.
